Uncle Grahame in The Fix

In London during 1997, theater audiences were enjoying The Fix, a satirical rock musical about presidential candidates, written by Americans John Dempsey and Dana P. Rowe. The play is full of stock characters, like Mafia gangsters with dark suits, black shirts and white ties. The candidate himself (played by John Barrowman) is described by the British newspaper The Independent as having "Hugh Grant's grin, Christopher Reeve's clean-cut looks, and Warren Beatty's schoolboy charm."

But then there's the evil character, the "scheming uncle Grahame," played the Philip Quast. Says The Independent: "Grahame has slicked back hair, a trim beard, and a stutter. He is a cripple, and a homosexual who forces his nephew to have sex with him. No worries about offending anyone there then."
